From the desk of the Game Keep
Last night the police arrived at my store and after a few hours of interviews hauled off my general manager, Jeremy Duffer, on suspicion of inappropriate relations with minor boys. He was subsequently arrested and has pled guilty to several counts of child battery(rape).
We are absolutely stunned by this. I had thought I was a very good judge of character. Jeremy was a great salesperson and worked hard to organize events. Despite the fact that his hours had been cut back because of slowdowns in the economy, he still seemed dedicated to the success of this business. I never saw this coming.
Now his arrest has contributed to the notoriety of this industry once again. We want everybody to know that NONE OF THE ALLEGED ACTIVITIES HAPPENED IN OUR STORE, NOR DO WE CONDONE THEM!
WE CONSIDER ACTIONS OF THIS KIND TO BE BEYOND ABOMINABLE AND HAVE NO PLACE IN ANY BUSINESS, LET ALONE THE HOBBY GAME BUSINESS!
Mr. Duffer has publicly expressed his desire to continue working here after this is all over and I want it known that there is no way that will ever happen. He is currently being held in jail with a 300 thousand dollar bond amount. Considering what he has done to the gaming community in the Nashville Area, jail may be the safest place for him.
Thank you to all of our loyal customers for their support. It is greatly appreciated.

ADDENDUM
Over this weekend we have experienced a tremendous wave of customer support. People from all across the gaming community responded. All day Friday and Saturday we were barraged with phone calls and e-mails, not to mention the large number of people that came by, all offering support.
THANK YOU!!!!! You are all the best!!!
It looks like The Game Keep may still have a future! J
Now I would ask that we turn our attention to the true victims of this tragedy, the children.
Every day children are neglected, abused, and worse. It falls to all of us to watch out for them, to listen to them, and to provide a safe place for them. To do any less makes us nearly as guilty as those who would prey upon them. We owe them so much more than that.
We here at The Keep applaud those parents who take an active part in their children's game play, and we recommend to those who don't, please start now. These children are the future. Please let them have one.
Our prayers and our sympathies go out to all who have been harmed by this. May they find the healing and the peace that they need.
