WHAT SHE SAID!!!
The bladesinger mishap is my fault, not being fully up to date on this kit, I let it slip through on Gem's character, not realizing that it was for full elf only.
Now, another point, this is freeform, and many things that are listed on your stats, that you probably have used with these characters in actual gaming situations, just won't work in this type of PBMB.
So here's the deal, everyone stop focusing on stats and rule books so much, and just role play as if you were in a real adventure.......or we can just end the game right now because everyone is finding it so damned hard to get along, compromise and eventually work together.
I'll be back online Tuesday night....please post your opinions, and I'll go with majority rule.
Everyone have a nice day, and see you tomorrow.

Before anyone reads further in this post, I want to make it clear that nothing in this post should be preceived in an argumentative manner, it is only meant in a queried and informative manner.
Thank you LWW... That is exactly how I feel... The character sheets shouldn't be that important in a freeform game... This is supposed to be a fun game, not a math test...
If the character sheets were so important, then someone would have said something about Tal's level 14 character... but, since no-one said a thing about his character, it reinforces the point that the sheets can't be that important...
I have never met with such a hostile introduction in any game that I have ever played before... Ok,... I can at least understand Avana... But I completely don't understand why I am being treated the way I am from the others... especially Keely... Shades, What's her problem with Gem?...
Look, I'm also sorry if anyone preceives my character as being "overpowered" just because I use all of the rules... My character was created about 12 years, and is right now actually a lvl 16 character, I used every rule at my disposal to create her,... but as I said before, I have her changed to suit the campaign when I play outside of my personal group...
(This is only meant to be informative) I would also like to mention that there was no official version 2.5 in the D&D world... Just as there was no official version 2.0... This (2.5) is something that very few people call the revisied 2ed rules...
The version history of D&D is:
D&D OD&D Holmes D&D Challenger D&D
From this point, the product lines diverge into Basic and Advanced product lines.
The Basic Line consists of:
Basic Expert Companion Masters Immortals Rules Cyclopedia Immortals revisied
When the Rules Cyclopedia was released, the Immortals rules were revised shortly afterward to conform to the Rules Cyclopedia.
The Advanced Line consists of:
AD&D AD&D / Unearthed Arcana AD&D 2ed AD&D 2ed revised / splatbooks AD&D 2ed Options / DMO - PO
And as far as my character being a Bladesinger goes,... Gemini has been one in EVERY game that I have EVER played her in... ANYONE who has ever played AD&D knows that the rules are only a guideline... and NO-ONE has ever complained before... I'm sorry if anyone may think that it is too munchkinny to belive that there may be a world somewhere in all of the Multiverse where halfelves are tought Bladesong... Myself, and every other group that I have played with does belive that it's a possibility.
... ... ... Hmmm... Blade, you said that Avana aspires to learn Bladesong, right?.... Well, Gem is past lvl 4, which means that she knows it well enough that she can teach it... Perhaps if Avana could put aside her jealousy,... Gem, who still thinks she's your friend, could start to teach you?... What do you think?...
Could we all make amends and get along... Please?

2.5 is my (and the gaming community I am from's) name for 2nd ed with splatbooks and PO. A simple abbreviation, nothing more. This game is strange in that it is freeform and yet not at the same time. Its the only freeform game I've been in with full character sheets, as such, the line between rules and rp becomes much less distinct than in "pure" freeforms. I stand by the fact, that I as a person see the Character Sheet of Gemstone as a munchkin. I also maintain that I feel Avana has acted appropriately and has not caused difficulties in character for the group regarding her feelings toward Gemini (Iggy maybe ) . If this is upsetting players then I will willingly leave, I hold no qualms with doing so if others believe it will help the game. I rarely import characters from other games as there are almost always issues, but will "export" as it were Avana to another game I have been requested to take her to. (Seems she has a fan ) I am happy to continue as is, as I have said before, getting along with everyone is boring. As for learning bladesong, I dont consider it appropriate. Avana chose the Blade's unique figthing style instead. Oh, purely for interests sake, does Gem recieve all of the negatives bladesingers do?

Blade, I will be ever-so-pissed if you leave. Please don't. This is not worth it. I like it this way. As you see, Alera have a distaste for Iggy, but I don't for Omni. This should not continue on like this.

Blade,... There is no reason for you to leave... The only negitive things that your character has done, have been in her thoughts... As far as Gem is concearned, she still thinks that you are her friend. You have given her no reason, verbally, to think otherwise.
As for my mentioning the D&D version history, I only did that because not everyone knows what 2.5 is... as I found out when Steven asked me what 2.5 was....
As to whether or not Gem recieves all of the negatives that bladesingers do... Let me answer that with a question... What benifit does she gain, in this freeform game, from knowing it? Absolutely none what-so-ever that I can see......... This game is freeform... there are no dice, there are no attack bonuses, there are no pluses... There is no benifit,... other than looking agile, gracefull, and cool while useing it, to useing it in this game.
To actually give you the answer... When I am not RPing freeform,... when I am actually playing a real game of D&D with my friends, and I am playing my real character... Gemstone, The Rogue Knight of Valor; 1st Prime TroCon Huntmaster, of the Imperial Legion of Valor's TroCon Specialist's Division, Champion to the causes of the good and just, and strict follower of the True Code of the Warrior... Then yes, she does follow the edicts of being a true Bladesinger... both with boons and bains.
But still... There is no reason for you to leave...
I just wanted to know why everyone was being so hostile towards me... That's all.

Exactly......no reason why anyone should leave. And no, I don't expect every character to get along with each other perfectly, the little frictions here and there make it interesting.......but I don't expect people to get pissy over OOC information, and bring it into the actual role playing of their character.
As the DM, I have to try and piece together all the pieces of information and character reactions to keep the story line going.....party members, old and new, should keep abreast of all posts, but not incorporate them into their own posts if they have no involvement in them at all.
For example, Gem, you came in late to the game, yet your character is acting like she knows exactly what conversations went on between Avana and Garth....yet how could she when she wasn't even there for the combat? Understand? You used OOC information to base a section of your reactions and comments on. Not picking on you only, others have done it. **gives Keely the evil eye**
OK, so can I just get a Yay or Nay of who is staying in the game......I'll start off.
YAY!!

This post is to Kerap:
Reguarding whether or not Garth knows Gem... No problem at all... Since your character knows Crista so well, and has been with the guild for so long, it is very likely that Garth could have at least had a few conversations with Gem... and would know her somewhat...
I diddn't have any information on your character's history, other than you had been with the guild for a long time, So I wasn't sure about whether or not Garth could know Gem...
But, it's perfactly fine with me.

Here's a little background info on Garth for you Gemstone. Garth is a habitual womanizer, but he doesn't hit on the women of the guild. He makes comments about how much they probably want him, but that's all. He actually respects them (although he'd rarely say that), unlike the trollops he socializes with when not on duty. So he knows all of the ladies of the guild. He sometimes believes he is only thinking, when he's really muttering out loud. He's always hungry. He's clumsy, yet very strong. He does what he's told without too much grumbling. He's a fun loving type of guy, despises cowards, is reckless and very loyal. He's not too cerebral. And ever since Alyssa healed him up the first time, he thinks of her as his sister now. Hope this helps give you an idea of the Garth man. LWW just loves him to death.

Iggy will be out for a couple days. I'll try to post if I can get to a computer again, but chances are I won't be able to post again 'till Saturday. Hopefully nothing crucial will happen, Iggy won't get fried while I'm away, and everyone will watch out for th' snakes. Heheheh.
