We're all ready My Lady. We've just got to go pick up your White Castle, and we'll be there. Is there anything else you want me to bring? Something else to bake maybe?

Wow!! Did we have a great time on Saturday!!
First off, Adam, thanks so much for bringing Anthony, he's a great addition to our group. Heh, so now I have three more "adopted sons", Adam, Emil and Anthony....I kinda like being the DnD mom.
Second, omg, thank you so much for the White Castles....they're soooooooo good. My stomach thinks otherwise, but I'm not one to listen to it much.
Third, big hug to SSD for listening to my rant, and understanding where I was coming from. I apologize for not mentioning that you did apologize to me for the nastiness...he really did!! But I think our finally discussing this issue really made the game go more smoothly. You and Arryk are great brothers, and I love you both very much.
Kaber, my Kaber, I really love your....oops, not the thread for that. But thank you my dearest love for being the greatest DM. MH did stop by for a visit, and he was a great DM too, but Kaber does better sound effect....sorry MH.
My son Bill doesn't post here, but thanks Bill, and your friend Nick too, for doing great jobs in role play.
OK, next game is Saturday, June 26th.

I look forward to our next game. As always. And I know the boys do too. They were having so much liberal talk with Roy... I've never seen them so excited about talking. Oh, and Mary did you get my latest email? Just let me know if you did or not... And tell Kaber that he needs to finish my char race and Anthony's before he finishes off his stupid orcs in Icewind Dale 2!!!

*A crack of mighty thunder, a flash of jagged lightning and the silouete of a cowled figure stands before you*
Greetings all and well met. I figured it was about time that I posted here. Yes, I am the DUNGEON MASTER! well one of them. Thanxs to MjolnirH for giving me the opertunity to DM for such a great group. As mixed, controversial and outright insane as they are.
*looking over at LWW as she gives me a cockeyed look from the corner of her eyes as she goes to make dinner........Teriyaki Chicken and Stir fry Veggies...mmmmmm *drool....slurp*
So Let us begin, shall we, with the tale so far........
Word had reached the Elvin village of Dapple Wood that some distance away the human settelment of Silverspur was having problems with spirits haunting their woods, and of grusome deaths. Thus the elvin council of that area decided to send a small envoy to investigate these reports. They chose 3 elves from their village. A Priest of night - Sil, a wizard - Tellyna and a Bladesinger - Reesia, to find out what they could of these disturbances.
They soon met up with a cravan headed their way and joined up with the team as gaurds and cooks to learn what they could of the area. Here they met the man, Magnus, X slave/gladiator and now caravan gaurd. They also come across Steideo, a halfling theif who was shadowing the caravan and Axeblade hairsplitter, another carvan gaurd.
Enroute they encounter a strange Fog that seems to move as with a will of its oun and the horses are badly frightned. They make hast to Silverspurr and at the gates meet an unlikely duo. An elven Bard - Tulana Cerise and an Amazon priestess in training - Jalarzie.
Within the walls of Siverspurr they are told of the gruesome deaths of four men who were local ranch hands preparing land for a homestead. And they are told of graves having been dug up and bodies missing. Well one event leads to another. The young elvin wizard (I think she must be part kender) got a little to curious and almost ended up as a resident in the grave yard but fled obly to return with reinforcments. By then the "Men in black robes" were gone. Other facts were soon discovered. 1: There was once a witch who lived in a cottage outside of town. She was tied to a tree in the middle of winter and left for the ellements to devoure. She cursed the town before she died. That was a few hundred years ago. 2: Many are the stories of ghosts in the wood around Silverspurr. Known as Darkwood. Many are the tales of fairy folk too. 3: Evidence suggests that one of the horse ranchers in the area has potions, was a former adventurer and may be in leauge with some cult. 4:The old witches cabin has been reported to be recently lived in, though investigation by the party finds it abandoned and dilapidated. Still, a crow seems to make them feel uneasy about their find and they are set upon by a lone Worg, it barely escapes. 5: Men in black robes meeting secretly at night suggests some occult activity. But what can all this mean?
Of course the halfling and the dwarf could do no less than getting themselves into trouble.....with the local law. After being arrested, jailed, escaping only to be caught having bludeoned a poor man to senselessness and being arrested yet again. Thought mostly harmless by the constable, he set bail for the dwarf and halfling. Once paid they were to leave the town and not return. Since the party could not post bail they were left delivering mail.
Ok everybody got that. Well I won't go into great detail this is currently background but anyway......
Sarago, Port city, city of trade. Not far from the mountainous town of Silverspurr, Sarago is a sprawling city much like any other city. A city with plenty to hide. Our adventures witness the mysterious fog, are chased by Winter Wolves and set upon by bandits before they eventually make it to Sarago and drop their mail. (Stideo has been dropped into a sack and drug along at this point.) Two new members joins the group. Another theif stalking the party, the Elf Lallio (stand up and say hi, Adam) and a Half-Elf fighter named Llon who happened upon the Amazon (or was it the otherway around?)
In Sarago the party is attacked in a tavern by a dopple gannger who impersonates the Amazon. It is killed and bandits bearing burning oil (molitof cocktails) set the tavern aflame and the party narrowly escapes. The three Elves from Dapple Wood escape through the root celler via a secret passage leading to the sewers. Alas, unable to cope with the violance that is Human nature the three Elves return to their homes to report their findings. Meanwhile, the Gladiator, the dwarf and the Amazon rush through a curtain of fire and out the back while the Bard, The Theif ,(llalio- remember Stideo is still stuffed in a sack. Poor guy. every time he moves he gets clubed back into unconciousness. Fortunatly there will be no permenant damage as long as Jeramy gets back here soon) and the fighter/thf Llon all make their way to the roof. The bard falls unconcious due to smoke inhalation and is rescued after a heated debate between the two theives. The dwarf tries to go after two of the thugs but looses them in the sewers.
After fleeing the tavern and returning to the Inn (The Wretches Roost) the party regroups and is hired by an apparently wealthy woman of middle age named Tilith Gray to seek out a long forgotten temple within the city. 1: She tried to find the temple with a companion but her companion was killed in an ally by thugs 2: She seeks a gem of great power which she wishes to use against a "great evil" 3: She knows only that the temple is located in the city. She does not know where. 4: She claims to have tried to get her "king" to support her search but he refused, sighting it as nonsense. 5: She says a lich may guard the temple. "A cleric thought it so important to guard the item in question that he sacraficed all to become a lich in order to keep his vigil." (Hey I heard that.....you'll just have to wait till they cross that bridge before I explain that one.) This perks the ears of a Druid (A Lost Druid-Kit) who seeks vengence for the destruction of her grove by a lich and so the party accepts the payment of 100GP each in advance and 400 gp more upon their return.
The party splits up. Some investigate the library, some check out the local temples and the gladiator investigates the Arena for info. (He meets an "Old Friend" The slaver that sold him to the gladitorial rings.) Together they compare notes and discover the site of the temple to be in the poor section of town near a fairly new repair of an old wall. Their questions have not gone unoticed however as clerics from a number of orders secretly fallow them to learn of their intent. The party seeks out the temple, finding only a small court yard of flag stone with an old fountain that no longer works at its center. The "Pavilion" is surrounded by ramshackled buildings and grass huts but nothing can be seen of their occupants. The party is ambushed. After a small battle between the clerics and the party the party learns the secret to enter the temple (Trial and error almost kills the poor thief) and As they are about to enter, they meet a Half-Orc who wants to join the party.

After taking a dinner break (Mmmm, teriyaki chicken) with my lovely Lady Winter Wolf, I now return to the continuation of the adventures of *tada* The PA Home for Wayward Gamers. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The Haunting of Darkwood Part2
The Eye of Drin Ok, so the fountain is marble surounded by a ring of somber looking women statues. Each holds a stone sphere in their cupped hands. All except two that is. On the base of One of the empty handed statues is written The eye of Drin shall cast her cold light, illuminating the way. On the base of the other is written Lor shall bear his burning sheild: that which was in darkness shall be revealed. It takes the party sometime to figure out that a sphere of frost and a flaming sphere are needed to open the door. (here they also find another gladiator wishing to join the party...well actually that was during the cleric battle but anyways..... (NOTE: A successful spell craft check or two can allow a mage to alter a spell associated with frost or fire into a sphere. Other DM's may also wish to require that if the mage has a spell of 1 level higher than the cast spell, that spell is also gone from memory indicating the extra energy required to shape the desired spell) And so the party enters the dungeon just as the sound of approaching horses and the shouting of guards is heard. They descend into the darkness and down down a hall, setting off a fire trap in a room up ahead. This fire trap causes a water wierd in a pool at the center of the room to go Berserk but fortunatly the Druid had a purify water spell ready. (Grrr...I wanted to watch the party drown *pout*) Since the flames only touched the edges of the pool, the party is able to safely cross but wait! At the end of the room are two bushes with a small fountain nestled between them. Killer plants Hahahaha! Oh Drat! The druid had a hold plant spell, but not before the half-orc got chewed on a bit. Yes and the Half-Orc decides he's thirsty and drinks from the fountain......Unholy Water Mwahahaha! Some damage is delt. Ok so what now. A hall to the left, a door to the right. Well the theif and dwarf decide to check out the door. Rotted, and not locked they step beyond into a large room and SLAM! the door closes and locks and isn't as rotted as it first appeared. The Amazon Bellows a Zena like war cry(Ok maybe not) and Smashed the door open. The room contained several statues of a fiery warrior with a flaming sheild and a pit at the center of the room. An alter at the rear with a door behind it. That area of the room appeared to be plated in bronze. Oooooh. Two chests rest on either side of the alter and so the theif goes after one while the second gladiator goes for the other. Boom! theif activates a Sepia Snake Sigil but it misses. and he finds among other things a bronze spear in three peices. The Gladiator manages not to activate the fire trap on his chest and gets a bronze sheild in three peices....Hmmmmmmm. The half-orc of course is buisy entertaining himself by smashing statues and dropping them into the pit......of Lava. Weeeeeeeeee! Glup. Sizzle. Now on the alter is a chest. (Ok, it wasn't supposed to be there but everyone said I said it was there so there it was........*evil grin* I had to move a trap set in a nearby secret room. They didn't search so it worked alright). The chest was opened by the Bard and out pops THE EVIL EFREETI OF THE CHEST! Mwahahahahah! So it grants her 3 wishes and her first wish had better be to set him free. Oh no! LWW is a little too smart for her own good (And thanks to MjolnirH for teaching her the secrets of wish wording) The bard tells it to go back into its box and close the lid after it. Blast! Of course the half-orc sees some potential here but the bard jumps on the chest and locks it again. On to the next room. They go through the door, entering a large empty room with a narrow path running its length. The party follows(all but the half-orc) and stumbles upon a pit trap (Well done Dwarf) As they debate what to do the Half-orc has smashed open the chest containing the Efreeti and asks for "1. 10k, 2. to not speak again. 3. to go back into his mouse hole and stay there." Woooohooooo! "YOUR WISHES ARE GRANTED" 10 Killer Bees appear, Giant Killer Bees. (Note: these were slightly modified. Their poison really was killer....paralysis followed by unconciousness, coma and death in 12 hours. I upped the XP by 50 points/ bee to compensate) The Efreetie then makes a mouse hole and disappears. Meanwhile the party is taking 1d4 points of constitution damage. (Unknown to them the room is charged with negative energy via two obsidian platforms.) The Bard, Thf, and Druid (Her Wolf too and Oh did I mention the Amazon has a small african hunting dog named Nefrititi), note a stair well at the other end of the room and part with the group to investigate. The rest of the party soon hear the sounds of alarm and rush to save the half-orc from his own stupidity. Now the Bard, theif and Druid apparently were not aware of the battle as they were scouting ahead but nontheless. The rest of the party fought bravely, alas the Half-Orc, and Gladiator2 were stung numerous times and no one could stop the poison. Little did they know that the Druid could not aid them either (Lost Druid looses healing abilities but gains necromancy spells....mmmm big help there.) And since she was not there anyways it seemed hopeless for our heroes. The Amazon could not condone the actions of those missing from the battle and after a struggle with her conscience, (She had an alignment conflict with the druid) decided to leave the party, return to the surface and seek another path to travel. (Unknown to our heroes, City Guards await their return. As Jallarzi returned to the surface she was promptly arrested for "Desecration of a holy site, Bearing weapons against the clergy of an established church of this state, armed assult, Willful destruction of public property and Conspiracy against the state" all punishable by death in these lands. She is now being thrown into a barred wagon, surounded by a small troupe of armed guards and there are at least 3 mid level clerics in the small crowd that has gathered.) As the gladiator Magnus debates on wether to mercy kill the Half-Orc and the other gladiator, the Bard, the theif and the Druid continue their explorations in the level below. What will become of our heroes!? Can they survive!? Will the Gods hear their prayers or is all hope lost!? Find out in our next exciting adventure. Sat June 26th. At the PA HOME FOR WAYWRAD GAMERS!!!!

Thank you Rune. Although the tale is just a condensed synopsis of the game in progress I hope all who read it enjoy it. To be sure I can now go into a bit more detail as I've updated everyone on the current situation. I may have left out a few things here and there but I'll of course explain the profoundness as I go.
Thank you for the offer Rune but as Lady said....... Of course we'll be looking forward to your next visit.
