...How did you find out?... About me? Wha---What? Usually I do my best to keep that a secret... How'd you find out? Do you know the WHOLE story? Or just the fact? Augh, now this is gona eat at me. Oh, and you have yet to send me the character files so I can print them out. I just refilled my ink on my printer. Well sir, I too have an affinity for the storms. I do not know your tale in depth only that I know one who is kin. I can call the wind and the clouds, I gain strength from the thunder and the lightning and the wind has always been with me on my journeys across this world. Next time you come down to PA we can talk about it in depth. share our tales. Of course you're welcome to e-mail me or PM me; we'll keep everything private. I am sending your characters to you now so Later.

Ok, We didn't have a game this month but we will next month (Remember Ren Fair on Sept 4th and the Game will be Sept 25th) and so it is time for yet another game synopsis.
Here we go again!
Out to Sea
The party narrowly escaped the guards by taking a back route and, pretending they were drunkards, made their way to the docks. There they found 4 vessels being readied to launch. 3 cargo vessels and one passenger ship.
They were deciding on which cargo vessel to take when two guards approached them. Quickly they explained that they were bound for the “Sea Shark” after a long break in one of the local taverns. They explained that the captain was waiting for them. The guard called to the ship and the first mate Zeth answered and went to get the Lady Captain. She mad her way to the group and after speaking briefly with the guards she questioned the cleric in private. Since a number of her crew had abandoned the ship and being the drunkards that they were she had little use for them anyway. She agreed to take on the party so long as they worked hard. They would receive no pay but would work off their passage to the next port. The minotuar would stay below decks as would the wolf. The Bard made a remark about the thief and so it was decided that the thief would be riding in the brig until he showed he could be trusted. And so it was the party found a ship and were sent aboard the Sea Shark as members of her crew. The voyage was long and they did not learn the length until they were aboard, roughly a month at sea. The cleric and the “Fallen” were to make certain that weather stayed favorable and evil did not come upon the ship. The bard was given the duty of mending nets and the druid was sent to the galley to assist the cook. The half-Orc was to swab the decks and do the cleaning and such while the Gladiators learned to raise and lower the sails, work the booms and other such related tasks.
One week out to sea and all was calm. A full moon and suddenly the ship was set alight by blue fire, St. Elmo’s Fire to be exact. It was a good omen but it caused the Fallens cloak to change. It took on the appearance of a feathered cloak and it kept wanting to unfurl. Arjun quickly went below deck to his cabin to gain control of himself but then the bell rang. On deck the crew could make out what appeared to be a giant turtle, until it lifted its head and bellowed. A Dragon Turtle had spied the vessel and was set to charge. The turtle rammed the ship and the party went into action. Of course the party was commanded to keep their weapons in their cabins and so they went to get them while the druid began to cast Call Lightning. The gladiators were met by the Fallen and the cleric with weapons in hand and distributed them amongst the party. The cleric joined in with another Call Lightning while the gladiators tried to fire with their bows to little avail. The turtle rose and charged again. Fortunatly the ship was tough. The Minotaur (who had been discovered and was thought of as a curiosity was allowed on deck) picked up a large harpoon and with great strength threw the Iron spear, it struck hard and stuck deep. The dragon roared and spewed forth its breath weapon, a cone of scalding steam. Most managed to doge the breath some were not so lucky. The half orc and the minotaur were caught in the blast receiving quite a bit of damage. Still barely alive though they struggled to take down the beast. The battle was fierce but in the end another call lightning cooked the turtle and they all had turtle soup. Alas. A few of the crew did not survive the breath weapon and were baried at sea. The call lightnings had also summoned a storm and ….. “the tiny ship was tossed, if not for the fearless crew the minnow would be lost” …. Ahem I mean the Sea Shark. Thanks to the mend spell of the priest and the water to dust spell of the druid repairs where made. And the ship continued on. A week later and they came upon still waters and a fog. A ghost ship appeared. It was a huge war vessel and the crew began to panick. The druid tried to Warp Wood but it only did a little damage. The vessel gave chase but when it got close enough the crew could see animated skeletons aboard. The druid of course used her Wall of Fire on the ship and that pretty much took care of that. The clerics Gust of Wind and the help of the minotaur and other rowers got the Sea Shark out of harms way.
Middle of the fourth week. The ship was almost to port when they were set upon by pirates. They fired cannons and and flew their Jolly Roger as they came upon the Sea Shark. Even as this was happening the Half Orc had gotten board and decided to pilfer the cargo hold. A guard was stationed by the door but the Minotaur and the dwarf who were keeping an eye on the Half Orc were forced to attack. Knocking the guard unconscious the Half Orc crept into the cargo hold only to hear voices. Members of the crew were plotting a mutiny. The leader was apperantly also working for the pirates. The half orc made a noise and the mutineers rushed out while the dwarf and the minotaur tried to run topside to warn the captain. Alas, they were all set upon as they reached the stairs leading to the deck. On deck a number of other crew men had already drawn weapons and were trying to round up the rest of the crew and subdue the captain. The party fought back. With a well placed Web spell and the battle hardened fighters joining in the mutineers were soon brought down even as the divine spell caster and the druid cast their spells at the pirates ship. Well, the cleric turned invisible and the druid….can we say Wall Of Fire? The main mast was hit by cannon fire as was the captains cabin but even as the wall of fire set on deck of the pirates ship a spell caster aboard summoned a water elemental. The pirates ship came close enough that grapple hooks were thrown out and planks were set but the invisible cleric kept dropping the planks. Even so, more cannon fire was heard and a local war vessel set upon the pirate ship which promptly dropped her grapple hooks and after lobbing a few cannon balls her way fled. The Sea Shark was escorted to port, only a few days away and the party again found land.
The great city of Azir. Palm trees and fig trees and strange domed buildings were the mark here. Think Agraba. The party Immediately departed with a few not so kind words from the captain and decided to find Ale and real food. They found a tavern of sorts and the druid, bard, cleric and the Fallen, decided to stay there and rest while the Half-Orc, Minotaur and the dwarf went off in search of weapon shops and armories and the like. They found a few shops but the weapons were strange to them as was the armor. Still they searched, down winding ally ways until they came upon a monkey who stole the Hlf Orcs coin purse. They pursued the Monkey until they found an old blind man who conned them out of some coin after returning the purse and gave them his monkey, saying he was old and dying and needed someone to care for ( ok, so much for originality. Forgive my plagerism but it also helps set the mood) Abu. They turn and the Old Man is gone. *shrug* they try to make their way back when a man tells them he has a magic talisman for sale. A unicorn horn that they must see, seeing is knowing the price is right. They agree and no sooner are they ushered into a dimly lit room smelling of a rich insence when the Half Orc falls, asleep on the spot. The Minotaur is suddenly pricked by something and he to falls asleep. The dwarf aware that there is a problem attacks one of the 5 men in the room, killing him but two others grab a net and entangle the dwarf, they prick him but nothing, and the insence doesn’t seem to work either. They finally club him into submission and the last thing the dwarf remembers is the explosion of light before his eyes……Then darkness.
What will become of our heroes Now? Stay tuned for our next exiting adventure. Strangers in a Strange Land.

September 4th, the group, minus SSD (tummy troubles) and MH (had to work 2nd job) went to the PA Renaissance Faire, and we all had the time of our lives. The weather was perfect, beautiful sky, not too hot in temperature (which was great for Kaber, Arjuna(Rune Walsh or whatever name he's using here now) and myself since we wore costumes).
Kaber got one of those wonderful dragon puppets, and we all purchased swords and daggers; all the weapon vendors had great selections at cheap prices. We stayed till the very end of the day, and went home exhausted and in the best of moods. What a day!!
Note to all: Next game day, for the 2e group, is Saturday, September 25th. We might have someone from York coming by to meet us, and see if he would like to join our group.
The 3e group is meeting on Saturday, Oct 2nd, and the 3e teen group has a session this Friday, September 17th.
Anyone interested in one of these groups, and you're in my local area.....email me, cause I don't go to the forums everyday, but usually check my email once a day.Warning Our game for October will be on Saturday, Oct 30th......Halloween weekend. EDIT: added info on Oct. game
