I am sorry about my lack of activity lately, but unfortunately I have been very busy. However, before I get to posting my combat actions, there is a several questions I would like to ask of EK…
First, EK, what does the “strings” that hold me (and supposedly K’Zan is held by a similar “string”) look like? Does they appear to be a part of a living being, or more like a spider’s web? I won’t study them carefully, mind you (there is no time for that), but I would like to know what is my first impression of them.
Secondary, how high is the ceiling at which K’Zan is hanging?
Thirdly, how far is the distance between myself and Canderous/Kaygor’s prone form?

They're very thin and strong; almost like piano wire, but not as fine.
The ceiling is about 15 feet high.
If you were standing on the ground, you would be about 30 feet away from Kaygor and Canderous

Another couple of questions, EK… (Sorry about delaying the game, people, but seeing how some of us or even all of us can die down there I want to be 100% sure I understand the situation before I take the action)
1) Do I see from my position that Spec is trapped and badly hurt?
3) Do I see the spider-like monster that attacks Spec?

Certainly. Dying at such an early stage would be a shame.
You can see both Spec and the spider out of the corner of your eyes.

Thank you, EK, I believe this about all the information I need, but if I have more questions, I’ll ask them. Either way, I’ll post my actions as soon as I will be able to (but it won’t happen today; unfortunately, I have very little time to spend online nowadays).
Once again, please forgive me for delaying this game, everybody.

Once again, I am terribly sorry for keeping everyone waiting. Well, at least I’ve finally decided on what to do, and I will go ahead to posting my actions now.

Excellent thinking Selenya. That should buy some time, but my question is, how much?

Thank you very much, Canderous! And… Mmm… How much?..
Oh yeah, I’ve almost forgot! Casted at my level of power, Hold Monster spell will last for 12 rounds – 72 seconds or 1 minute and 12 seconds. Hopefully long enough for one of us to finish the creature off… Providing that my spell will work.

Aye, excellent choice of spell. Let's hope it takes. When/if that body falls I will be all over that thing like death over....... that thing.

Aye, excellent choice of spell. Let's hope it takes. When/if that body falls I will be all over that thing like death over....... that thing. Actually, I thought of protecting you with Otiluke’s Resilient Sphere before moving on to dealing with the spider-like creature, but then I realized that as close as this creature was to you, it could have been caught inside the sphere with you should it make an unexpected move towards you. And you don’t need me to tell you what would happen if this creature happens to be caught in an inpenetratable sphere of force with you.
This way, if my spell works, you will merely be hit by a falling creature (assuming that it will fall, there is a good chance that it will remain motionless on its string), which won’t be as bad as if the creature would decide to have a snack before moving on to the rest of us. And even if my spell fails, there is a good chance that the creature will recognize me as a more serious threat (it seems to be intelligent enough) and will move on to me, leaving you unharmed.
Either way, I did what I thought was the best, Spec.

There's your first combat, people. Again, that was entirely random - I had no idea what was going to happen (even surprised myself a few times). It could've ended in one round with some good rolls, or you could all be spider food by now. Remember to clean and wrap those gaping wounds! Congratulations on a good win.
So, now that you have a feel for how combat is run on the planes, what do you think? Feedback or questions, anyone?

That was insane! Lets just say I'll stay as aware as possible from now on.
