"Thrice bedamned drow, he was just toying with us, well, what else should I have expected from his dark kin?!" Selenya thought angrily, although her face betrayed only a hint of this emotion.
But as she had no better option, Selenya just glared at the drow and followed his lead.
[OOC:]
Even though I am a planeshifter, I am still new to the planes, and being a native Torilian, I didn't hesitate to identify Faniel as a drow.

*Taking a moment to think about the offer, Piper decides maybe she'll learn something new about this land to help her survive until she can find her way home.*
I can be your assistant for awhile. I do plan on finding my way home again, but for now I have no plans and do not know anything of your lands, so I will stay on as your assistant as long as I can.

You know... nothing? of this land? asks the smith, incredulously You speak the tongue quite well. Hadn't I known the dark of it, I'd 'a taken you as a lost petitioner.

*Piper stares at the smith, confused for a moment, and then realises she wears the necklace that Naylo gave her and rubs the bone between her two fingers*
Naylo gave me this necklace to wear, and it helps me to understand the language here, so I suppose it must help you to understand my language also. Without it, we would not be able to understand each other. I must have wandered through a portal without even realising it, and ended up here, which is why I do not know how long I can stay on as your assistant, as I long to get back to my own world. I have unfinished business to take care of there.
*A look of hurt and anger cross Piper's face as she remembers the brigands she was tracking, and was so close to catching up with. She wonders if they escaped the portal, or if they had ended up in this world with her, and if they did, she would find them, and then destroy them. Thinking of this, she asks the smith*
Have you seen a rough looking group of newcomers lately?

Naylo the Stonebreaker is very frugal with his bone necklaces. You must be special. said the smith, smiling As for roughnecks, I can't say I've seen 'em. This is the Outlands, after all. Wandering bandits and vicious bodies are all too common.
The smith quickly glances up to the bright sky
The All-seeing eye is closing. We must get to work. Here says the smith, tossing a forge apron to Piper I'll teach you the basics of smithing today. We might even be able to get you started on some basic blades.

*Disappointed that the smith had not seen any newcomers, Piper takes the apron the smith gave her and puts it on*
I don't think I'm anything special to Naylo. I think maybe he felt bad for shooting me in the back with an arrow, and this is his way of trying to make up for it, and if he doesn't feel bad, then he should, for I was no threat to him. *Piper replies a bit annoyed* I do not know anything about making weapons, but I tend to learn things relatively fast.

<-- To Arcaneye only -->
The darkness dulls away from your eyes and you appear standing in a large, round tent. Hard sand, caked by a desert sun stays firm under your feet, and the immense heat of the late afternoon sun permeates the air. In the middle of the room is a large, round table, composed of animal bones and covered on top with a taut leather hide. Standing not too far away from you is are three people hovering over a sheaf of papers.
One of the people is a heavily tanned human man, head shaved bald with an unrecognizable letter tattooed atop his pate. His clothing is primarily leather, and worn very rugged. Another of the humans is a beautiful, fair skinned human woman with bright red hair and immaculate skin. She is dressed in a fine, red silk dress and wears a diamond ferronniere. The last of the three is a black skinned, white haired elf, who appears to be the leader of the three. He is very muscular and carries a dizzying array of weapons strapped to every corner of his body. He wears a black scale breastplate with a blue tunic, and cotton pants.
Kaygor stands beside you as well, checking his joints to make sure that sand hasn't entered them.

The final one is Naylo the Stonebreaker - blademaster of the Abyssal League and head of my division in my organization.

Faniel leads you through a small maze of tents until you arrive at a large, yurt-like tent in some random location. He pushes open the flap and moves into the tent, not even waiting for you to catch up.

Hurry up! Faniel yells to the three following him. He enters the tent and bows deeply to the gathering.
Faniel the Viper, overmage of the Abyssal League at your service. he proclaims with a nod of his head.
Faniel, a far less muscular elf than Naylo, goes to stand beside him. Faniel is clearly the taller of the two, and appears to have a far more regal, arrogant bearing than the very down-to-earth seeming Naylo.

Selenya followed Faniel into the tent with her head held high. She would be willing to work along with the drow should circumstances require it, but she would die before bowing to any of them.
"Selenya of Silverymoon, a wizardess." Selenya introduced herself, and then added after a brief pause, "At your service."

Holding the flap open Spec ducks through the entrance and takes a moment to survey the room. He nods and simply states,"I am Spec."

Canderous raises a quick eyebrow as he noticed he had seen these other members of his team before, but he didn't really care enough to think about it. He came to Naylo to be be debriefed. ( debrieved?)
