Linus eyebrows raised in curiousity at the woman also seated at the table.
"Pleasure to meet you..." Linus said, before he caught her glare of obvious unease at the tall hacker being there, "... the pleasure is obviously my own..." he frowned.
He addressed Trent again, "And who is Lady Thornton, what is this assignment that involves me having a partner?"
Linus didn't mean to be as abrupt as he probably was being, but this place, and Trent blank features, were making him nervous.

~Lady,...what on Earth is he badgering about?~ Helen thought as she sneared slightly at him,......~This is who I am to work with,...great,...he better not get in my way!~
She smiled slightly as though to be polite infront of Mr Trent.
"The name's Helen Thornton, leave the formal banter for Trent huh?!"
She glared back at Mr Trent as though waiting for him to go on, and get this meeting over and done with.

"Try to be polite and you get snapped at..." Linus thought ruefully, then grinned. "Hmm... well, if it annoys her... whats the point in stopping?"
"Apologies Lady Thornton... it's my upbringing I'm afraid." Linus said, trying to conceal his Midlands accent.
He gazed at Trent as did Helen, they both painfully obviously wanted to get out of here. "Great... I have to work with HER? Jeez, Trent have you got it in for me?" he thought bitterly, keeping his face calm and composed.

Mr Trent smiled, pleased that they had met oneanother dispite their obvious displeasure.
"Let's keep the noise down slightly Mr Lexington,...I'll be explaining all you need to know." He calmy said as though he had all the time in the world.

"Of course, my apologies." Linus said politely, mentally wishing the Umbrella gimp would get on it. "For Gods sake come on!" He mentally raged.

(OOC - Regina giggles, "Umbrella gimp")
Mr Trent was in no hurry, and could see that Linus wasn't expecially pleased about this,.....yet Helen was being more open about that,....looking rather stern and impatient, tapping her finger nails on the table absent midedly,.......or was it by purpose? Trent could never control this one well,........this mission would be quite a difficult one.

"I need your excellent skills on hacking through Umbrellas security systems and general data banks to aquire some information which will be crucial to unravelling their latest agenda."
"I have been working with several contacts wolrdwide and have finally begun to inderstand the nature of this new experiment,......you are both to work together to ensure this phase of project Code: Beta 10 goes according to plan,.....no one must know of this and neither should Umbrella which is why your skills are both needed."
He smiled at Linus almost as if in awe,...perhaps it was genuine or just a ploy to make him feel important and willing to co-oporate?

Linus smiled sardonically, most of what Trent told him was probably true. But he still wasn't buying all of it. "Sounds... Interesting. Bringing down Multinational Corporations eh? What could be more interesting." He said in a low voice, winking at Helen Thornton.
"One thing though Monsieur Trent... If you are having me hack into this computer... why do I need Lady Thorton with me? I am more than capable of hacking on my own."
"Come on Trent... what are you plotting...?" He thought to himself.

Helen looked quite annoyed at Linus,...but let Mr Trent continue rather than shout at Linus.
"You'll be infiltrating a derilict Umbrella building, an old office branch section in an abandoned town,......it's on the outskirts of the business district where Raccoon City was expanding to, where the Umbrella factories were attacked." Mr Trent looked rather calm even when talking about Raccoon City.
"The reports you heard about the town being infected and later wiped out by a UN bomb are false; it was merely an exercise to see whether the scientists and townsfolk were able to successfully get out in the event of a viral leakage occuring."
"However,.....the computer systems hold valuable data on that exercise and we haven't been able to go back and recieve it as the security systems to outside pathways are far more advanced than the simple test we gave you,.....plus the press would then realise that our exercise to see the precautions which would be needed in the case that a leakage did occur was the real event which took place,.....and Umbrella would have a larger blow to it's reputation than it already has due to it's precautionary testing for the dafety of it's workers and the townsfolk." Mr Trent smiled to Helen.
"You'll be needed to help him get into the specific area,....and also to make sure you pair do not get into trouble,...this is an off-hand mission, and if you get into the authorities bad books,.....I cannot bail you out! However Mr Lexington, Helen Thornton is a very capeable agent and one of Umbrellas special forces pride, so you are in the best of company."

She smiled however it was an expression of acceptance rather than pleasure.
"I suppose I'll be saving your neck, and stopping the derelict buildings from caving in on your backside,.....you gotta listen to me then hacker you got it!"
She'll be making sure Linus doesn't step anywhere that's too risky or dangerous,....the buildings were abandoned but time and the false explosions which were carefully set off to show some damage to the town and please the press to show it was supposed to be real,....left many buildings rickety and dangerous,.....plus she's a master at making an new doorway to a locked facility,.......they'd get in with no problem at all,..........
~As long as I get the proper equipment that is,......~ She made a mental note.

"Finally!" Linus exulted silently. "Tight tight lipped git finally spills!" He remained calm on the exterior, raising his eyebrows slightly at the whole thing.
"Interesting... we get to pull Umbrella out of the crap hole." Linus muttered to himself.
"Sounds fun." Linus said flippantly shrugging his shoulders.
"And the company COULD be worse... she's stuck up that much is fairly obvious... but she is kinda cute." Linus thought to himself.
"Of course I'll listen to you Helen." Linus smirked rocking back on his chair slightly. "It's whether I'll take any notice is another matter."
"So then Trenty..." He started arrogantly. He had found his mission and now he just wanted to get out of here. "...lets discuss the finer points of this.. travel, details of what I'm taking from this thing I have to hack... and of course... payment ne?"
He leaned into the table again, looking calmly at both Helen and Mr Trent, wondering where the hell the waiters were... he was thirsty.

"It's good to see you're enthusiastic,....yet don't get too self-assured Mr Lexington, payment will be made after the mission is a succes,....fail and you'll have nothing of the sort!" Mr Trent seemed quite angry at Linus' easy going nature,....calling him "Trenty"....wasn't the best thing to do to get in his good books, yet nevertheless he still wore a perfect expression on good manners on his face,....making his thoughts unreadable.
"The pair of you are to fly out after this meeting to Chicago, where you'll then be under Helen's orders Mr Lexington,...."
Trent smiled at him and then indicated Helen as though she knew what to do already.
"Would you care to explain your COA? I've given her all the maps necessary to plot a route from Chicago to Raccoon City, and all the necessary maps for the buildings I will need you to infiltrate."
N.B.
COA = Course Of Action.

Helen looked rather angry at both Mr Trent and Linus,....
"T-take any notice,.....well, if you end up setting off some trap or what-not don't be waiting for me to save your sorry behind!"
Assuring herself that she had put Linus in his place she whipped out a plam sized, hand-held computer and smiled greatfully at Mr Trent.
"With this I have all the maps I need plus the extra data for the information Linus has to get from the computer systems."
"The general COA is to get some transport from Chicago,....I have a contact there who has agreed to give me a 4x4 jeep,....which will be the best for the torrain in the approach to Raccoon City, as of the mountain surroundings,....so if an alternate route is needed to get in there is no problem. The journey timings are too long, I've located a Motel along the road towards Raccoon City,....about a couple of miles before the turn off into Raccoon City, we'll stay the night there and get freshened up, setting out early the next day. Hopefully if all goes to plan, we can be in and out of Raccoon City in the new day and be out before nightfall,.....I'll drive back to Chicago straight away during the night and we'll catch the next plane back to London." She was in full control of the situation, she knew exactly what she wanted to do and how,......Linus would surely be in capeable hands, all he needed to do was hack into the systems, he need not worry about the how's.
"I'll plan ahead the actions for the day when we actually go into Raccoon City when at the Motel, you'll need not worry for most of the information will be what I will do in order to get you access to the following buildings,...however if I need help, you'd better pull your weight Hacker!" Turning to Mr Trent she said: "Are all the equipment I requested ready?"

"They'll be ready for you when you take your bags from the luggage in Chicago,....everything you asked for is ready." Mr Trent smiled,.....he knew how well prepared she could be, and judging from what she had requested it seemed that she was expecting some trouble.
"Any questions then Mr Lexington?! He asked with the same unreadable face.

Linus smiled inwardly, Trent let his anger slip for a second, Linus saw the emotion flash in his eyes. Linus sighed to himself, the Umbrella puppet wasn't so immune to emotion like he made out. However he didn't want to push it. Therefore he waited till Helen and Trent had finished talking, nodding in all the right places, cringing slightly when Trent mentioned he would be under Helen's command, making a mental note of how to wind her up later.
"I'm all too willing to get my hands dirty Helen." He said nonplussed, witha shrug. Though he did notice a couple of open ended scenario's that could happen that he didn't like the sound of. He had heard the rumours certainly... but what was in Racoon City that was likely to stop them with their mission?
Linus smiled, he knew he had a deal of control over this conversation, Trent's anger and Helen's small stutter gave it away.
"Nope... I think I'm good... I'm in Helen's capable hands anyway." he grinned at her and winked. "I've got everything I need, except the plane tickets I think."
He smiled genuinely. This mission sounded interesting, and he was looking forward to it.
