REPRODUCTION OF SPECIMEN beta - "TREVOR", by Dr Meyer.[/i]
Filoviridae is the name of the family that contains Filoviruses. There are only two known members of the family: Marburg and Ebola, which has four subsequent strains; Zaire, Sudan, Reston and Ivory Coast. Filoviruses cause a Hemorrhagic fever in humans and non-human primates.
Filoviruses get their name because of their long 'shepherd's crook' shape. They have a long tail and a crook at the top. Each molecule contains a single-stranded negative RNA. New viral particles are created by budding from the surface of the host cells. Filoviruses have also known to replicate in 'crystal' form within cells. In a microscope, these blocks, or crystals appear as dark spots within the cell. They then break and release the virus throughout the body.
Filoviruses's natural hosts aren't entirely known, but it's believed that it comes from a type of bat, more partucularly in their guano. The viruses, once in the human cycle, are spread much in the same way as the HIV virus, through body fluids. In Africa, it is custom to embrace the dead, and this was how larger outbreaks would start.
During the research of the viral weaponry in Umbrella the information of the T-Virus was apparant, and being a mutated strain of the Ebola virus this was the direct link, and showed just how this all began.

The Tyrant Virus, or T-virus, is a highly unstable agent that free mutates. It has the same properties as other Filoviruses in that it begins necrosis of the body at a rapid pace. The T-virus is highly contageous, but there is time to cure it before incubation occurs. In some forms, the T-virus is airborne, most particularly in pure liquid form. When transferred to the body, it no longer possesses its airborne properties, and transfers much in the same way that other Filoviruses are contracted: Through contact with the bodily fluids of an infected individual. Specifically, because of the most common mutation of the strain, the virus is passed along through bites or scratches which break the skin.
The most common mutation in human beings is a zombified form. The T-virus kills the body, but uses the energy that is stored in the corpse to reanimate the brain. These zombies still possess basic human functions, but lack intelligence or fine motor skills. They also lack the ability to communicate verbally. They function on the base needs of any 'living' creature: To feed. Because outbreaks of the T-virus usually have an epicentre, when someone uninfected enters this area, the creatures sense it and will try to devour the undiseased flesh, for the beings they're surrounded by have dead flesh, uninteresting to hungry creatures. Because brain activity is severely depleted in these zombified specimens, the ability to feel and recognize pain is diminished. A zombie could take a shotgun wound, and not feel it. The longer the corpse walks, the weaker and more inefficient it becomes. Freshly infected zombies can still move with relative speed, but older ones begin to show the process of rigor mortis, and move very slowly. They transfer the T-virus to other beings through their bites, and the transfer of saliva into the wounds. Bites can be cured easily with antibiotics or antibiotical spray. The virus also cannot survive for long outside the body, and weakens tremendously under sunlight or air.
Because the T-virus is so unstable, the mutations to the human body cannot be predicted. Unlike the other Filoviridae, the T-virus affects more than just primates. It has been known to affect canines, plants, fish, arachnids and other such creatures. The T-virus shows more stability outside the primate genetic make-up, and works to make the animals more efficient hunters.
If the human being injected with the T-virus is put into a cryogenic or suspended animation state, the virus halts the necrotic process, and begins different mutations than seen with the zombies. In a cryogenic state, a human can mutate into a Biological Weapon called a Tyrant, named for the virus herself. The Tyrant is the pinnacle of T-virus mutation, and is the result of the original designs of the virus: For Biological Warfare. The Tyrants still possess humanoid appearance, as well as super physical strength, and far more intelligence than the zombies. However, the Series One Tyrants didn't possess as much intelligence as hoped. They also couldn't pass for human. Further reasearch into the T-virus started to rectify this problem.

The G-virus is a very mysterious agent. It was created by Dr William Birkin in Raccoon City, and was his life's work. Because of Dr Birkin and Dr Wesker's initial research into Ebola and the Filiviridae, it is probable that the G-virus is in the same viral family as Ebola, Marburg and the T-virus. The G-virus shows the same necrotic process that the T-virus has, although its mutations are far more extreme and rapid when injected into a live subject. The G-virus is superior to the T-virus as a Bioweapon agent.
After having access to the files on the Raccoon City incident it is evident that Dr William Birkin injected himself as he was seriously injured after the Umbrella SWAT salvage unit, led by and agent under the codename Hunk, retrieved some G-virus samples. Dr Birkin rapidly mutated into various forms, the instability of the G-virus outshining that of the T-virus. Dr Wesker obtained the G-virus data from Birkin's corpse after to sunjects known as Claire Redfield and Leon Kennedy disposed of him. Sherry Birkin was also implanted with a G-virus embryo by her father, but was cured, although there is mystery surrounding her, thus Sherry Birkin is now under Umbrella surpervision and was collected by Mr Trent from Claire Redfield, when she went in search of her brother Chris Redfield.
Because the G-virus wasn't allowed to spread with the same widespread outbreaks as the T-virus, its full nature is still unknown. Both Umbrella and HCF now have G-virus data, but it is not known what will come of this. The G-virus's initial origins came from the test subject, Lisa Trevor, code named female specimen - Beta[/b] in the Arklay Facility hidden within the Spencer Mansion.
The files containing her series of multiple tests and injections, concentrations, alterations of the T-virus are slim and only a few have been available for this research however, if the chance for a reproduction of the conditions which may have arisen the G-virus to be formed by the link through female specimen - Beta[/b] is available a new and even more potent viral strand may be created to surpass the G-virus in almost every way.
Dr. Isabelle Meyer.

The file ended...............
The information here seemed to only be the tip of the iceberg,...what on Earth was Linus getting into?
This Mr Trent seemed to be playing both sides of the field,......he seemed heavily involved in Umbrella but, there were references to him actually wanting to take downthe corporation.........his mystery should hopefully be revealed when he contacts Linus again perhaps?

Linus stared at the documents, the pixelled words on his slick LCD flatscreen monitor, completely dumbstruck.
"What... the... f***...?!" He exclaimed when his voice had refound him, not mincing his words at all.
He re-read the file again, and again and again - his hands flying to the keyboard, bringing up a search window on one of the other monitors, and ran a search for various keywords from the file: T-Virus, G-Virus, Spencer Mansion, Tyrants as well as Umbrella Trent and Dr. Isabelle Meyer.
"This is screwed up..." Linus said aloud. "Lex what the hell have you got yourself into?"

Linus shook his head and closed the internet connection - in complience with the message. It was true... he probably was drawing attention to himself.
He reconnected his Internet again, his IP address changing (Bless rotating IP's) as he sat down, contemplating the strange message.
He knew where the Polygon was, it was only about 15 minutes away from him - well... fifteen minutes the way he drive anyways. He grinned to himself bitterly. So... he would finally meet this Mr Trent. He has some answers to give. The hacker thought angrily.
"You'll be taking a trip to America." he mused aloud. "Well... who's to argue with a free holiday. But what the hell was the deal with an 'accomplice'?"
Linus continued to mutter to himself as he packed away he laptop, a change of clothes and other bits and pieces in a overnight bag. He was pretty sure he'd be staying longer than one night, but if he was only allowed one bag... He hadn't got much options open to him.
This whole thing stank of crap. Stale crap. Stale crap that had being lying in the sun for 3 weeks. But hell... what else was he going to do? He had always taken oppurtunities when they had arisen for him. And this was one freak ass oppurtunity.
He spent the rest of the evening winding down, take a look into various people's computers, mostly AOL users who didn't understand the need for firewalls. He didn't do anything, apart from leave a couple of notes that said "Phyrehawk was here." 'Phyrehawk' being his online screen name. Though he couldn;t remember where he had got it from - he had had it for years.
He waited up for a bit, to see if anything else would happen, on the news , or otherwise.
((Regina, if nothing else happens, you could skip to morning - Linus is done for the night.))

BEEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEEEP! BEEEEEEEEEEP!
Linus groaned as the shrill alarm cut through the still morning air. He turned over and hit out blindly at the snooze button as he pulled himself toegther, glancing at the clock.
10.33am. Later than he normally awoke but no matter. The events of yesterday replayed in his mind. Again. They had been doing all night - he'd had extremely vivid dreams, of this Mr.Trent, these Virii - T and G - and these... creatures. He didn't know what the hell they were, but they scared the crap out of him.
Linus pondered the dreams as he jotted them down in a notebook by his bed. Linus was deeply interested in dreams, he believed many were prophetic. The ones he had of late though - with these creatures and such - he hoped WEREN'T as prophetic.
Linus rose, turning off his alarm as it again began to scream shrilly at him, telling him to wake his lazy ass up - and proceded to ready himself for his meeting with Mr Trent.
Around 11.50 - after double and triple checking he had got everything, he set out, his bag across his broad shoulders and sped along the roads towards the restaurant - The Polygon.
He arrived there about 20 minutes later, and subsequently 20 minutes early. Securing his motorbike, he checked around, to make sure he hadn't been followed, before entering and looking around for some kind of waiter or something.

A waiter approached him and said:
"Sir,...do you have a reservation or are you to be expected by another party?" He asked,...seeming rather displeased about his presence there.

Linus smiled thinly at the waiter, who had an obvious look of displeasure on his face at the sight of the Hacker. Linus wasn't surprised, it was a rather well to do resturant and Linus was here in a pair of baggy jeans, a plain black t-shirt and a long leather jacket. This was how he normally dressed, and what p!ssed him off the most was the look was becoming cliched by little wannabe kids.
"Sir is here to see a Mr.Trent." Linus said curtly, and leaned closer to the waiter. "And Sir would also appreciate it if you were not looking at Sir like he was some sh!t covered tramp off the street." The Hacker gave the man a pointed look and waited for him to lead him to Mr Trent's table.

The waiter smiled slightly as though to amuse them both.
"Of course Sir,....I shall show you to your awaiting party,...follow me Sir." The waiter replied and walked through the restaurant and into one of the secluded tables behind a glass wall in the top right corner of the ground area.
The place was very distinguished, and seemes to be quite expensive, the subtle piano music playing in softly through the speakers,....it was classy alright!
"Mr Trent, you final guest has arrived,......I shall bring you some coffee and a necessities in a moment Sir." He said quietly to Mr Trent before leaving them to go into the kitchen.
You now see the famous Mr Trent,......looking rather suited to this place, dressed in a black suit with a crips white shirt and navy blue tie,......an Umbrella logo pi on his left lappel, his gaze calm, his hair neatly combed and a silver/metal breifcase was by his legs.
"Ahh,....Mr Lexington, do sit down." He greeted.

Linus thanked the waiter with a nod of his head, but his mind ticked over about something. His final guest? Had Mr.Trent been busy this morning?
Linus nodded to Mr.Trent and complied with his request.
"Thank you." He said calmly, slipping off his leather trencher and placing it over the shoulders of the fine chair.
"Nice place." Linus commented looking around casually, his eyes busy looking for anything out of place, spotting nothing and not wanting to arouse suspicion from Trent, he looked back at the Infamous Umbrella Operative.
"Well Mr Trent..." Linus started, eager to get this over with. "...what is all of this about?"

Sitting down Linus could see that he wasn't Mr Trent's only guest,.........next to him sat a young woman, who seemed to be bothered slightly about his arrival.
"Please Mr Lexington,....all shall be revealed in due time, allow me to introduce your partner on this assignment,....Miss Helen Thornton." Trent smiled warmly,.....his objectives were so hard to tell from the expressions given on his face,......he was clever alright.
