Jastra looked over at Challenger and sighed. Ever thought the direct way is not alway the best way. They will come out when they believe it suits them. Jastra shakes head. Thinking about what you said last night. I wonder if you liked the person I was. If you would feel the same if you knew at the start I can cast shadow weave. Most believe only evil people cast shadow weave. If it's correct or not, that is the belief of most.

"True but when it comes right down to it I prefer if everyone knows where they stand. If they mean us no wrong then no harms been done, if they do, well they know I'm watching them and waiting." Challenger replied.
"I imagine its more than possible that your nolonger the woman I fell in love with. But if I don't stick arround and get to know you again how will I find out?"
"I'll admit to mostly being ignorant of what exactly is going on. I've no experience with mind effecting magic of the sort that was applied to you and until a few days ago I had assumed that 'shadow weave' was just another name for magic. However there is one thing I do know for certain, being able to caste shadow weave doesn't make a person evil. I knew the old Jastra, she had the ability and she wasn't evil, and if I'm any judge of charrecter neither are you.

"Druids were looking after him last time I saw him. Nothing wrong with him as far as they could tell but he's in a very deep sleep."

Jastra laughs as she and Challenger turn around to face front. Jastra stops her horse when she sees a human male sitting on a large rock on the side of the road, not 30 feet from her.
If you ask me, yes you are wearing just a bit to much clothes. One who is as beautiful as yourself should share the beauty. He said with a slight grin.
The man look to be 35 in human years. medium built with long black hair, moustash and beard. the only weapon visible was a raiper under his dark red cloak. he appeared not to be wearing armor, that was visible at least. He sat on the rock like he didn't have a care in the world.
May I be so bold as to inquire your distination, on this fine day fairess of moon maidens?
Jastra didn't answer just look at him for a bit.

"Personally I always preferred the dresses that hinted at everything but reveled little. I find the added mystery of what is hidden but can readily be imagined adds rather than detracts from a woman’s beauty." Challenger replied flippantly.
He dismounted taking the opportunity to remove his quarterstaff from its holder on his belt. Extending it to its full length he lent on it, not threateningly but warily.
"However I doubt you came here to swap preferences on clothing. You've enquired as to our destination but have yet to give your name and purpose as is the custom." he continued openly suspicious.
"For the sake of argument I will go first. I am Challenger, a Wanderer by name and nature. Now who am I addressing."

Horrad stayed on the horse, seemingly complete relaxed with this new encounter, looking with a hint of boredom at the stranger.
He`s got a silver tongue this one, hasn`t he? He said, turning his head towards Jastra.

Relaxing on the rock the man looks at Challenger with a bemused look. Well wandering Challenger, and what area do you come from where the custom is to interrupt the conversation of others. Civilized people may think that rude. Or did you feel loney being left out of the conversation. I guess the myth isn't true for all elves, some are less civilized than others.
The man smiled bigger and reclined on the rock. His head on his hand and cloak covering his other hand.
I'm not familar with the custom of drawing a weapon on a man simply because he asked a question. Unless the moon maiden is a mute.
The sat up quickly, the cloak still covering half his body.
Tell me elf challenged by wandering, why do you feel defendsive, does she belong to you. You have been charged to speak for her.
He looks at Jastra smiling then at Challenger and shakes his head. No, I don't believe so. Moon elves don't breed with lower elves do they.

Jastra looks at Horrad and speaks quitely. He is trying to get Challenger to attack, and from what I'm told about him it won't be a long wait. Jastra dismounted and walked a few feet to the left.

"There's little point trying to insult a heritage I have no claim to bar that of blood." Challenger replied his whole body language moved from wary to ready as he observed the strangers arm movements
"As to my weapon, a quaterstaff is concidered quite defencive and untreatening. I must appologise if you found it otherwise, it was and remains merely a prudent precausion when dealing with an armed stranger who stops parties in the wilds without introducing himself as if he was a common bandit." He continued. "If you are too afraid to give your name than maby just your purpose in stopping us."

The man laugh out loud May I remind you, I was just sitting here. In which way did I stop your little group. I made a comment to the moon elf question. You decide I was a threat because I spoke to her without permission.
The man dramatically put his right hand to the side of his face and faked a shocked look.
Is this a new custom. Let's see, a human is sitting on a rock and dare's to speak to an female elf without permission.
Another elf rudly interupts, threatens with a defensive quarterstaff. I find your choice of discriptions interesting. You called it a weapon, isn't a weapon consided offensive?
Is there anything I missed so far. snapping his fingers. You never answered the part if she belongs to you. Must not, I wonder why?
The man sits up on the rock. Tell me elf challenged with breeding. Is all this bad feeling because of the foolish blunder the elves in Everska caused by releasing the Phaerimm from the Sharn wall?
We simple humans know that elves can do anything without any help from anyone. Kelben Blackstaff offers help and the snobby elves of Everska spit in his face. Now that they couldn't correct the fatal mistake they caused,,,,, many elves died that day. Well it has to be the fault of a human, right. Or maybe all of you should moved to Evermeet with the other snobby cowards that ran there.
Looking over at Jastra the man rubs his chin. I could use a play thing for a while, since your not going to be needing her.

Challenger pressed a catch on the side of his quaterstaff allowing it to contract back to its normal state. Smouthly he returned it to its belt holder He turned back to the others as he mounted his horse.
"He's not a threat, if he was going to do anything he would have work up the bottle by now and I'm going to end up lamping the sod if we stay much longer. Anyone object if we move out now."
He turned back to the stranger.
"I'd assume your a part of the group shadowing us. I don't recognise your uniform unless your a long way from home, but who ever your superior is, tell him we're just passing through and if we're tresspassing I appologise, but we mean no harm. We'll leave you in peace and would appresiate the favor being returned."

Following the discussion with a frown on his face, Horrad asked Challenger with discontent. You will let this go unpunished? In the north this skada would have be hanged upside down in a tree with his gut disemboweled
