Jastra, followed by Stryder, climbed up some rocks and moved north towards the ambush the brigades tried on them and her horse.

"It might be a good idea to let Boh scout the area out. He can report to me what is going on as we stay here and wait. Then we can plan our moves in relitive safety. Any comments?"

Sokar concentrates for a moment, then Boh is off to the ambush area, careful not to be seen and not heard.

"She's a woman its expected and allowed for. Your a man, your expected to back your taunts with fists if needs be." He replied quietly to Strider
"And apparently her ears need unblocking. Could have sworn I suggested getting the horses back and I could have sworn I asked if thats what we were going to do." Challenger complained loud enough for the whole group to hear in slightly joking tone as he climbed.
"Besides the way she rides we may as well walk, I've seen green troups make more progress on foot." He continued now quite obviously joking.

"Would you mind hanging back and covering us in this fight. A good marksman can kill a sentry easier and more quietly that we'll be able to trying to sneak up on them and if the it all goes baddly wrong an archer covering us would be useful"

"Ok I've got a plan." Challenger said as he continued climbing.
"We'll raid their camp at night. That should allow Jastra and myself to rest long enough to have full use of our spell casting as well as for Styder to have a look at Horrad and see if that lightning bolt caused any damage."
"Actualy you should check Jastra as well she caught the second bounce."
"If Sokar covers us we should be able to sneak into the camp and reach where ever they tie up their horses without the alarm being raised. If we can get out the same way that good but its not going to happen so here's what I was thinking of."
"Horad and Styder once the alarm is raised I want you two to make a bee line for the horses and free the lot. We only need you to bring back 5 but if the rest are freed as well the confusion they cause will be very useful. Once you've succured the horses ride like hell out of there and meet up with Sokar. He should be able to pick off any pursuit they manage to mount."
"Meanwhile Jastra and I will seperate from you and make certain that no pursuit will be forth coming. In short we're going to rain as much magical devistation on that camp site as possible, generaly causing as much confusion and mayhem as we can manage. Once you are clear of the camp I can dimension door us clear as well."
"If it works as intended we should deal one hell of a bloody nose to the bandits and get away scot free."
Challenger turned to Styder. "Now before you even think of going off on one about the grouping using your brain and concider these facts. One I can barely handle one horse out of combat never mind five in. And two there is a mage down there likely the equal of Jastra and myself combined and if he wakes up before we're gone its going to take both of us to take him down."
"Any comments?"

In a narrow area, big enough for Boh to sit in, above the make shift camp of two barbarians, Almax and Lancenor. Boh sat in a dark area a few feet over the camp. The camp was about 100 feet south of the Dawn pass ambush sight.
We just let them go, Enide is suppose to be a war mage not a potted plant like Reece. He is suppose to like fighting. growled Lancenor
Almax laughs, Careful friend, Reece is weak as a pig but his magic is nothing to be taken lighthly. Enide told the others we are here to report anyone who travels the pass. Weaken any large force that come, they were only three. Almax holds both hands up. What would they have worth taking, they already lost their horses. Remember that witch elf did us a favor, she shut up Thol for good. We don't have to listen to that mouth anymore. said Almax
Lancenor eyes grew bright and laughed hard. Your right, I was about to remove his mouth from his face. She wasn't bad looking for an elf. Lancenor leaned forward to grab some meat from the fire. If she wasn't so damn small.
Trust me they are to small and easy to break, give me a hardy women. I had to kill this female elf once, got her drinking and we started to do things,,,,, Almax waved his leg bone of meat he was eatting. Let's just say she was to damn small. Started screaming in pain. No the elves are really usless.
So we fight for the war horse, I think it will be you or me. Lancenor look at Almax with a question in his expression. What ,,,,,,, I can't even call him a barbarian without it sticking in my throat, that northern fighter left his horse. Anyone who leaves his horse that easy and runs like a frighten old lady. Lancenor bites off more meat and shakes his head.
I heard tales that the north is full of weak old men. I guess it's true. To run at the beck and call of an ELF. I would be so dishonored I wold beg you to kill me. Almax said pointing his finger to drive home the point.
Running away with an elf. Lancenor spit on the ground. I can't believe the north has gotten that bad. Humans chased the elves off. The cowards live on a island afraid of their own shadow.
A fitting end to a race that never learned to grow larger than a child.
Both men laughed hard
Now the arrogant little brats have sealed their doom by releasing the Phaerimm.
They continued to laugh. Another Barbarian came in to Almax and Lancenor camp. A wagon with guards is coming. this time we kill and take what they have, no talking. All three men stand with arms rasied and growl with delighted rage.
