A wagon filled with goods slowly rolled southeast along the Dawn Pass. Ten mounted fighters escorted the wagon. Because of the narrow pass the the fighter were split up five in front and five in back.
Riding in the front passenger seat of the wagon sat a human male about forty in human years. He was an attractive man with white hair and white moustash and goatee. He wore the clothes of a noble man, white silk shirt and and green vest. Dark brown silken breeches and carried only a dagger on his left side.
Taz's mood didn't match his expression. He appeared care free and friendly. But he couldn't believe how these incompetent fools lived this long.
A couple of fireball and they would be gone. No one ever told them not to ride so close together. At least I don't have to pay them, their mistakes will cost them plenty. Maybe I am displaying to much in wealth. No, things can be replace, my reputation is worth more than a few peasant fighter. I couldn't stand to even pretend to be a poor pesant. This rich merchant is a good cover to get me on the other side of the Graypeaks. Then I can check on the weathercoit and forgotten forest.

Taz heard a raging growl from behind the wagon.
A man shouting "Don't destroy the wagon."
Then the sound of a large rock crushing the rear wheel of the wagon.
The driver of the wagon flew into Taz knocking both the the trail. Taz looked at the driver, thinking he wasn't the type to save him. Seeing about eight arrows stuck in the driver. explained alot. Taz decided to lay under the driver, (he was already dead and wouldn't mind being used as cover). The thing that really sent a pain in Taz was he would have to pay alot to have his outfit cleaned.

Endine yelled in rage at the ogre. I told you not to destroy wagons. He looked at Almax. Kill the guards and move the wagon. Endine stormed off to the south, to angry to cast spells.

After breaking the back of one of the guards the orge stood looking at Almax. The dead fighter flopped around like a rag doll.
In stead of carrying we could use the the wagon to carry things. Almax said to the orge.
The orge, remembered what Endine said to him and he walked over to the wagon. Mad at himself for forgetting, the orge beat the dead body against the rock in fustration.
Almax holds his hands up. I have a idea. drag the wagon over by the main camp. We have to finish cleaning up here.
The orge nodded and with ease started to drag the wagon south to the main camp.

In the same ambush site they used just a hour or so ago. The barbarians and evil rangers drew swords to finish off the rest of the escort. With four dead and six to go it won't take long.

Challenger skidded to a halt as he noticed Sokar and himself were the only two to have climbed back down the rocks.
"Well are we going to help them or not?"

"This is no time for talk" Horrad remarked as he passed Challenger and Sokar, more than eager to redeem his honour. Drawing his claymore, he started singing a violent and wild tune in uthgarth.

Challenger cast magic weapon on his longsword and moved up alongside Horrad leaving a 30 foot gap. He matched Horrads pace.
"Pay back time." he said evily with more relish in his voice than was usualy present before combat.
As Horrad started to sing Challenger attempted to join in. While butchering the pronunciation and not understanding the words in the slightest he managed to match the tune and the volume.

Sokar, noticing that the others were finally joining in, let play a evil grin and a glint in his eyes . He was to eager to kill the evil Rangers that soured his type to often....
It was time to even up the score and take some names.....
