I put myself down as a newbie, but my gaming history is actually pretty complicated and hard to put into a number. I played my first D&D game about five or six years ago, but I never found a good, constant group to play with. I played maybe five sessions, making a new character almost every time. And then there was a gap where my only D&D experience came in the form of computer games and books. Then sometime about six months ago I discovered online gaming through webboards like this and started playing again. I found out that although I knew the game in theory (what the different races and classes are, what the stats meant, the difference between feats and skills), I didn't know anything about actually playing the game (uh, what die do I roll now? oh, forgot initiative again!). So although I've been somewhat involved in D&D for about five years I actually have very little useful experience.

Ok after figuring this out, (you would have to make me think back that far), I estimated 22 years of playing RPG's. It started with 1E D&D, then 2E, Secret Agent, Grayhawk, I dabbled in Gamma World and Rifts, Vampiire Masqurade even tryed to do a Star Trek rpg from just off the top of my head. A lot of Roll Playing. Now I'm into 3E AD&D and I love it. Hmmmm....you think maybe I should spend a little more time in the real world? ........Then again....

Master here. I'm in-between Master and Gamer God actually. It's almost 20 years for me... ahh, yes, remember the boxed DnD set fondly... then the books. Then more books. And now... even more books! Been through DnD, ADnD, 1E, 2E, 3E...

Been playin since I was nine (24 now). And yes, I started out with D&D. I've been through most of the D&D spawns at one point or another, Robotech, Mechwarrior, Traveler, HoL, Vampire, Rifts, Star Wars, and there are a few more I forgot.

OK, well what about the rest of you? Come on, we've got over 200 members and only 26 votes I am seriously interested in how long you all have been into RPG. So please take your turn, vote, and tell us a bit about your experience with gaming.

I am a newbie in terms of gametime. I actually started playing about a year ago, but I have been reading netbooks and websites for about 5 years or so. So I know a lot of random things and concepts but I still need help on some of the basics and indepth things.

I can`t vote because I have about 4 years of gaming behind me. I learnt( and is still learning) roleplay in a school if you can believe it. It`s called, roughly translated, a youth school which you can go to in your spare time. Our teacher Jan were of course a gaming veteran with nine fingers (!) with a dragon tattoo on his shoulders and arms, who knew about every system in his head, a really nice guy by the way. Most of the time we have learnt basic rules and getting into all kinds of sticky situations in game and off game( I can mention a confrontation between us and some ignorant, bigger, boys who were learning how to drive tractor). What else have we learnt, ahh yes that we may not be silly unless we can do while dancing a serious polka, which is pretty much impossible.

I... am.... SUPERNEWBIE!! Muahahaha! I only had 8 PnP sessions (3E), that was over a year and a half ago now. I almost got into an online game on Mass, but was kicked out of the game before it was even started. They must have sensed my inner evil.

Okay, I have to ask... how do you get kicked out of a game before it starts?
