You mean a munchkin? We generally look down on such players because they have no concept or Role Playing other than, "Oh, I have really big sword! I hit you for XXXXXXX damage, you die now, haha!" While that is well and good in some cases, it sucks the fun out of a good RP faster than my brother can clean out our cupboard, lol.
But to get serious for a sec, as a rule of thumb munchkinizm is used as a last resort for fun if used at all.
Just be thankful I got you with this first, I know plenty of people that would rip you a new one for even bringing this up.
If I've misunderstood you at all, sorry in advance.

Sorry Mathias, but powergamers are not allowed in the rpgs here unless the DM states that is what she/he wants.
I work with the players to tone down their characters, and if they can't, then they don't game with me.

If anyone does object to us going to the room with the water first, I can edit my post to comply...

To sum up recent events:
We entered a doorway that was opened with the dagger...
We found a 100' staircase, 4 steps were traped, Crista led the way and found which ones were traped, closely followed by Gemstone who marked them...
On a landing at the end of the staircase, there was a traped door that Crista opened...
We entered into a small enterance way...
There was a hallway to the East, and one to the West...
Each Hallway is 100' long, which basicly forms a 200' long corridor...
Gemstone used hide-in-shadow and went to see what was at the end of each hallway...
At the end of the hallway to the right (East) is a portcullis, it would seem that some kind of creature, or something, is in a room somewhere beyond it...
At the end of the hallway to the left (West) is a room 100' x 100' with a 40' pool in the center...
Gemstone came back to the enterance-way and told the group what she found, and asked what they thought...
Greghoul didn't care, Avana and Iggy seemed to prefer the water room, Crista said that she didn't care for the Varrdigs, but that she wanted to see what was in the chests... also that she wanted to see what was beyond the portcullis...
Inorder to see what was beyond the portcullis (at Crista's request) Gemstone asked if one of the mages could cast *light* on a rock so that it can be tossed beyond the portcullis.
After casting *light* on the rock, Iggy mentioned the water creatures...
Since the water room seemed to be the consensus, Gem suggested that the group go there first, then backtrack to the portcullis...
The group is heading down the west corridor (to the left) towards the room with the pool...
What happened next?... It would seem that Keely wandered off on her own, and headed off, down the East corridor (to the right) towards the portcullis at the other end of the hallway.... (This might change if she relizes that she is going the wrong way.)

You guys misunderstood me so badly!
I AM the ultamate power-player. Not neccicarily going to go nuts with Mathias in your game... Its no fun to play with him in anything short of super high up there Rp's. Like on Anime boards. When those powerplayers join in and find a godly being as powerful as Mathias is blowing the crap out of them with heafty roleplaying... Oh you should see them try to argue against four paragraphs describing how their pathedic super-saiyan attack failed and was turned completely against them to incinerate them. Oh the power! THE RAW POWER!!!
Oh wait that's not what we were disgussing was it? *scratch's head.* Well I uhh...
Anyways kidding aside. *grins*
Give me the supply/level/stat limits and I'll make you a character by tommorow.

Yea I saw that after my last post... I sent something to LWW but she wasn't happy with it... Not good enough if its not 2nd edition... Nothings good enough for you LWW NOTHING! I wish I had my LMAO smily that was on the planet... That smily ruled. Anyways... Yep... I don't remember second edition nor do I intend on finding that damned rulebook... I'll just have the lady help me out of this little hole I seemed to have dug myself... When I remember second edition I remember flaw after flaw after flaw... And when I think of third edition I think of munchkin after munchkin after munchkin... When I think of me and steves Edition... I think of fine as roleplaying.

DM's of the 3e need balance, they eather give players tomuch or let them do as they please, that is what has created the munchkin problem

Bah when you get down to 3rd ed. The DM either sounds like an jerk saying "You can't do that... You can't have that..." Or he is pissed off saying. "WHY DID I LET YOU HAVE THAT?!

Shades, if you would be bothered enough to read the posts, you'd be able to keep up with the story. You keep expecting folks to summarize everything for you, so you can just make a simple post, and you still don't follow the story line. Unfair to your fellow players!!!
Mathias, I can work up your character on my 2e generator...when I can find the blasted time. Also, explain how the party is going to find him in this abandoned dungeon?
Greghoul, I'm not interested in 3e...this thread is not 2e vs 3e, it is for discussion of the Guild rpg....NO 3e debates here!!!
Gem, thank you for the game synopsis.....I haven't been to the actual game thread yet, but the party will go by majority rule....if it's the water room first, then that's where we're headed. If Shades' character wishes to go off by herself to the porticulis, then he can wait for everyone else to show up...eventually.
