This is a game I learned my freshman year in college on a long bus ride. One person knows a story or situation. She tells the other players an opening phrase and the players must ask questions. The answers can only be "yes", "no", or "irrelevant" (though, more likely, the answerer will just make something up for irrelevant questions). The object of the game is to figure out what happened. We'll start with a simpler one (I actually heard this one in grade school before I knew it was part of this larger "game", I thought it was just a riddle). Once this one is solved we can try some more simple ones or we can go on to some really really difficult ones I know. Bill and Sarah are lying on the floor in a puddle of water, dead.Anyone can ask me a question, but PLEASE PLEASE don't play if you already know the answer. If you've been asking questions and then realize you've heard it before, just say you know it and stop asking, don't ruin it for the folks who haven't heard it. This isn't a competition to see who can figure it out first, everyone will be asking questions at the same time and trying to figure it out together, so you won't "win" anything if you cheat and blurt out the answer you knew or found online, you'll just ruin it for everyone else. If you want to play but you've heard this one before then let me know. If everyone who wants to play has heard this one then I'll give another. So, anyone wanna ask me questions?

I know. Thus the "tell me if you've heard it and want another" line. I know a few less common ones (at least, I think they're less common... they're certainly more complicated).

Well, how about a less common one then. And if it's a scuba-diver in a burnt tree it doesn't work...

Edit: I'm gonna try to keep a list of the questions asked and their answers here, just to keep things nice and simple.
