*Piper grins sheepishly at the smith*
I see I still have quite a bit to learn about these lands. I thought this was your world's currency. Thank you again for your help.
*Piper turns and walks away from the smith towards the cafertia. She hadn't eaten in awhile, so she decides to see how good the food is here.*

<-- To PiperSilverstream only -->
Piper heads along the path until she reaches a covered ramada in which two burly men are cooking a large soup. Dozens of soldiers are strewn around the floor of the ramada, eating the soup out of their mess tins. As Piper enters, she elicits not a few startes from the soldiers, and quite a bit of snickering and whispers amongst them. One of the burly cooks, a wide faced man with two short horns and sky-blue skin, addresses her.
This eatery is for soldiers only, ma'am. You'll have to pay your keep. 30 ivory for a meal and drink.

Selenya walks into the cave, as usually keeping slightly behind K'Zan. The top of her staff shines brightly, illuminating the (60 ft.) area around her.
[OOC:]
Just for the case if somebody has forgotten, my Daylight spell is still in effect. EK, also keep in mind, that as a half-elf, I am seeing twice as far under low-light conditions then a normal person would, in this particular case, I see 120 ft. around me instead of 60 ft. This is what elves, half-elves and many other races got instead of Infravision in 3rd edition; but if you would prefer to relace this ability of mine with 2nd edition Infravision, I woulnd't really mind (you are the DM, and besides Infravision is definately better then Low-light Vision), although I would prefer to keep Low-light Vision, as it is what I originally had, and it will be illogical for me to change from game to game.

Canderous, not being able to see much without the light tried to see as much as possible of the area before it goes out. So he has a t least a clue of what his surroundings are.

Although normally she was a moderately pleasant person to deal with, Selenya was quickly tiring form being treated like that by the drow, especially by the drow she found herself working for against her will.
”Some of us cannot see in the total darkness, you know.” Selenya commented calmly, though not without a hint of well-hidden anger. ”And besides, it is not a spell I can dismiss so easily.”
[OOC:]
The later (as well as the first - Selenya is one of those who aren't able to see in the total darkness) is true, Daylight isn’t a dismissible spell (i.e. a spell that can be dismissed by a mental command of its caster) and the only way to “put it off” is to dispel it. Assuming that Faniel doesn’t know how powerful Selenya is, he may assume that Selenya is powerful enough to cast a Daylight] spell, but not powerful enough to dispel it (Daylight is a 2nd level spell, while Dispel Magic is a 3rd level spell).
[/OOC:]
[Personality notes:]
Being a moderately powerful wizardess, Selenya is accustomed to be treated with more respect, especially by those she is working on. She knows that her current “employers” most likely have no idea how powerful she is, and doesn’t reveal that on purpose, but still, she can barely stand being treated as a mere thrall. The fact that her current “employers” are drow, whom she learned to hate since her childhood, doesn’t help either.

Suit yourself. However, I will NOT be held responsible for your demise. You will get all of your companions killed if you cannot adapt yourself to your surroundings and avoid the opposite! angrily hissed Faniel, looking to all of you If you cannot see in the dark, either learn to, or hold onto someone who can. Now come.
The elf continues to walk through the darkness, slinking stealthily.

A colored lens pops down over the modron's eyes, focusing momentarily. He holds out an arm to Canderous.
It is best if you hold my arm while we walk until you are able to see in the dark, Canderous.

Canderous takes kaygor's arm as son as it is presented to him. He wasn't sure what was in this place, but he wasn't willing to life on this day. There were other things that must be done before he died.
