"A good journey to you Youferr. May the light of the holy flame guide your path."
"A job well done friends. Let us be off. We have little time to waste and their are miscreants to set ablaze with the righteous flames of truth and justice."
((Man, I think I'm starting to lay it on a tad too thick. Whaddya think?))

Youferr's cart didn't seem to contain anything other than his travelling provisions and the elixirs......
And so with that, he sets his donkey to the road and begins a very leisurely pace toward Toreala.
"Why don't you ride alongside me? I'd love a little conversation to make the time go by faster."
Brun (your driver) grunts something about wasting time, and looks irritable.

Hazivah inspects the sixpack brews he received. "So these are for fixin' wounds and stuff righto?" Hazivah carefuly removes the capsule from one of the bottles and tries to smell what is inside.

While it might be amusing to while away the day with you, we have lost much time already. A good day to you Youferr. Drive on Brun, we must be off.

"Definately the day is getting long,,we might see you aboot town, ya never know,,,,actualy before we part ways got any tips of good merchants to see in town, not exactly rolling in coin over here " looks over at Az "Chuck us one of them buddy, lets see if my new tongue has as much a taste for alchemy as the old" (lol I dont think its too thick at all, but have ya decided what exactly the holy flame stands for or is it more of a piss me off in any way and die religion?)

((Well, the flame is meant to represent purity. Of course, what THAT means is anyone's guess. Anyone who opposes that goal is obviously not one with the flame and therefore should be sacrificed in the name of purity. So, yeah, we're looking at real Old Testament, Fire and Brimstone sort of thing. I'm still working on the dogma as we go along. Note, Korbach's not evil, he's not into creating an inquisition, but, he just really, REALLY likes fire. )) "Our goal in the town is to bring low this false faith. It is heresy to use the faith of the people for personal gain. This filth must be purified. Judgement must be made and punishment served. Faith must ever be for the good of the faithful, not the other way around. "And, perhaps, if we are successful, those who see the light, could join with me and save their souls. It is my most fervent desire to tend to the masses. When I left my temple, the Holy Torch spoke to me and told me that to venerate St. Cuthbert, I should always strive to bring his word to the masses and erect great temples of Law in his name. We must start small, but, with the first spark, a great conflagration can be born."

Brun gets the wagon underway, and you rapidly pull ahead of Youferr and his cart of cure-alls.
Lorna glowers a bit at Johan, "you forgot about my mother?"
With that she perches atop one of the ale kegs, her eyes fixed on the horizon.
The road continues on, as the afternoon slowly slips away. You all find yourselves wondering aloud if you're on the right road even, as by all accounts you should have been to the city gates by now!
One more rise in the road, another bend.....
Lorna "Are we there yet?"
Brun "Almost there........"

Hazivah in the meanwhile has examinded the sixpack of brews and offers Korback two brews, and two for Lorna and Johan.
"They're elixers, and I 'spose they'll do us good when we need to do some butt kickin'"
Hazivah then goes to play a bit with his thieves tools while waiting for the cart to arrive in Toreala.

Johan thanks Az for the potion and takes a taste and proforms other manipulations, trying to determine if they are in fact what they say (+6 to alchemy)
approaches Lorna sheepishly "I'm really sorry, it totally slipped my mind that your father had asked us to find your Mum, my thoughts have been focused on the mystery behind our enigmatic benefactor, but dont worry, when we get their shes first on the to-do list (smiles hoping to get a smile back)

Lorna winks at Johan and smiles. Despite the pleasant expression, her fingers tap nervously against her thigh, and her breathing is shallow and anxious.
You crest a small hill, and see the massive ruins of Toreala's outskirts lying before you. It is a breathtaking site, and although the city proper (and its official population) is much smaller than Saracen, the greater city limits including the ruins, is a sprawl the likes of which you've never seen. You can pick out a few towers and well maintained buildings in the distance, (far in the distance) which mark the city center, and what will be your destination. The ruins themselves are composed of a wide array of decrepit buildings of various shapes and sizes, most of which have fallen into such disrepair as to be little more than piles of rubble, although the occasional whole building can be seen, standing out amidst the debris like a sentinel brooding over its fallen comrades.

"Ah, civilization, of a sort anyway. While nature may have it's charms, I am not above a night in a bed. Or a hay loft. Somewhere with a roof anyway.
"What are we going to do for coin anyway? It's not like we can just ask for charity."

"p'haps I can snatch away a few coins here and there..." Hazivah grins. "But I suppose we can trade the vase for some real equipement to start with."

"I will hardly condone stealing Hazivah. Perhaps your imprisonment was not so undeserved after all. Why were you in prison anyway?" says Korbach haughtily.

Following the road along, you soon find yourselves travelling between the ruins of ancient Toreala.
As you slowly continue along the road, past all the rubble and detritus, you notice eyes peering out at you from the shadows of various broken down huts, and crumbling walls. You can make out a whisper every now and then; one time you hear some type of goblinoid language, then maybe common, and the next something totally unfamiliar.
