Brun is one step ahead of you, and has already set out on his own fact finding mission. He has however, left you all with some basic knowledge of the local environs, including pointing out a few of the basic stores in town. Feel free to assume everything on the "Toreala" thread is now character knowledge.
None of you has any recollection of anything like the church of thought, (not even Korbach has heard of it) that is up until now.

As you move out onto the front steps of The Fallen Unicorn, you shade your eyes against the bright morning rays of the sun. Its a bit cold and a morning mist has settled everywhere, making the front steps more than just a bit slippery.
You are on the west side overlooking an open courtyard. Rubbish is scattered about, and a few disheveled vagrants can be seen sleeping on wooden benches.

Well then, shopping it is," says Korbach.
"I suppose a good sling and a bag full of bullets would be a good idea. The armor I have will do for now, so, other than that, I think I'm pretty good. Unless we happen across an alchemists anyway."

Melisendra observes those walking nearby and carefully steps away from the inn. She checks to make sure her falchion is at the ready, should she need it. While continuing to watch others moving about she nods "I'll keep an eye out for any cult members while we walk about. We need to be careful, this is a tough town." She begins walking towards one of the stores suggested by Brun.

Just a short jaunt down the road you find a great old storehouse offering a lot of everything and a little of nothing;
Welcome to Bells N Whistles!
You enter a large wharehouse style store, with rows and rows of crates, barrels, and shelves (most of which are bare). The store is fairly quiet, and it takes quite a while before you get someones attention.
Eventually a harried clerk wearing a work apron comes running from the back store rooms, with a short folding ladder under one arm. He is sweating profusely.
"Yes, yes...sorry to have kept you waiting, what is it you'll be needing?"
(Most basic items are 10% discount from the list in the PHB. We don't need to RP every scene here, so if your characters needs to pick up some gear, post it in the PbP, and if I don't mention otherwise, we'll assume you got what you ordered at 10% off.
If you're looking for armor or weapons, or alchemical components/items then you might want to go somewhere else. Bells and Whistles does carry these items, but they are mostly 2nd hand. We can RP these scenes, to see if you can find what you're looking for.
If you are looking for something a little unusual, then we'll definitely role play the scene.)

((ooc)) Let's see:
Backpack 2gp Caltrops (*2) 2gp (is this a weapon?) Crowbar 2gp Flint and steel 1gp Hooded lantern 7gp Manacles 15 gp Oil 3 pints .3 gp 50 feet rope 1 gp Total: 27 gp
Wish list - prolly rp
Sling w bullets (1 sp/10 ) Buckler 15 gp alchemists fire (20 gp@) (Pretty, pretty please?)
That should be it for me. We might want to invest in some tanglefoot bags if available. Good for limiting combat. Caltrops work well too. Heck, Johan can be our caltrop dispenser. Heh.

"I've only got a couple a flasks back here, how many ya want?"

Johan, you get the basics for 13 gold
Backpack (1.8 gp) Bedroll (9 cp) Blanket (4.5 sp) 10 candles (9 cp) Ink (7.2 gp) Pen (9 cp) 5 paper (1.8 gp) Pouch Belt (9 sp) 2x rations (9 sp) Sack (9 cp) Waterskin (9 sp)
As for the others: Spell component pouch (used - some of the pouches are moth eaten) 5 gp
leather armor w/ some old studs (worn, heavily stained and very smelly - this armor is so worn down, its missing some studs, but has improved flexibility, treat it as leather for purposes of bonuses) 10 gp. Size : 9 (roll 4d4, anything within 1 fits well, anything within 3 is wearable, but treat as hastily donned)
Spear 2gp (brand new, a special order from Hauser, the original customer failed to pick it up.)
"As for crossbows, there is a box of old broken parts in the back, you're welcome to take what you want. Maybe you can salvage something together. I'll let you pick over the remains for 4 gp".

< Break for Session 10>
The party finds itself in between the Church of Thought, and the Temple of Oldimarra, wondering what they should do to help this drug addict that wandered into their midst.
Any basic purchases posted by Haz will be assumed to have taken place along with the other purchases.

All PbP is moved to the new, and more appropriately titled thread "Toreala, Road to Redemption".
This thread is now closed.
