<Knightslayer> Your probably right about that (getting used to you hiding all the time) ~~~smiles slyly~~~ but as for following a trail after dusk. I think not. We can, or rather you can, look for it in the morning. This area seems quiet enough for the night (dead body not withstanding). I say we march on,maybe another couple hundred yards, just to keep the predators away from the main camp, and come back here in the morning to see what we can see.

The trail will probably be gone by morning. Tracking is a business that requires due haste. replied Waldo, unthwarted You all head down and make camp. I'll look for our assailant. Don't wait up for me if I'm not back by morning. We'll rendezvous at the adventurer's guild if I don't catch you on the trail
Without even waiting for an acknowledgement, the ranger dashes off into the forest, searching for and following the trail.

Balthus ponders for a mintue. 'This is a most disturbing turn of events. Our captive must have had some information that he associates were willing to kill to prevent circulation. I hope our tracker meets with some success. I hope he has as much skill as he does enthusiasm. I shall move on with you.'

Heiro looked at the body and sighed, making a small gesture of reverence. "I will march as well..."

Waldo will continue in PMs until he rejoins the party. Thank you.
Knightslayer leads the party to a small clearing near 100 yards from the corpse (which was left behind). Camp is made and all seems quiet.

" Does anybody know of a nearby lake or stream or... Something, where I may get some of this blood off of me? It is rather disconcerting you know, being covered in blood..." Krystal said, looking down at her soiled clothes, bloodied hair, and blood splatters on her skin. She had only been with the party for an hour, if that, and already had managed to get covered in gook, only this time, it was blood.

<Knightslayer> I'm afraid, dear lady, that you'll have to wait until we get to town. Besides, that may not be all the mess you get into before we arrive. There are bound to be more of that archer's group around and the orcs have taken to traveling through the less guarded areas of this region since the dragon's appearance. You'll just have to make the best of what you've got.

She shrugged, "Well, I supose it could be worse... I could be trudging through a sewer with a mutilated crocodile on my heels." She said optamistically.

Balthus overhears Krystal and smiles. Optimism was infectuous sometimes. 'Wtaer is not necessary, my lady. I was once apprenticed to a travelling hedge wizard, and learned a rather useful cantrip which enables the swift cleaning of all manner of vestements. With your permission I shall exsanguinate your clothes in no time.'

Krystal smiled. "Go right ahead. I don't think I'd mind being un bloodied." She smiled.

Balthus pulls out a small cloth from a pocket in his robe and psits on it after muttering a short magical command. He then waves it around the cleric as if he was cleaningor polishing an object. It was a matter of seconds before not only the blood but all manner of stain or dirt was gone from her clothes.
'It's an invaluable trick for the apprentice who needs to earn some gold before he knows any spells useful for adventuring. I spent my summers as a dishwasher and clothes cleaner several years ago, when I was seventeen. Place a petal within the cloth and you may imbue your apparel with the flower's scent fur up to a full hour.'

Heiro noded silently and looked at Balthus, "That spell was a requirment on Croanius..." he sat down and stretched. "If you didn't know it cleaning your master's labratory took forever..."

'Croanius?' remarked Balthus. 'Is that where you're from? I must confess I am not familiar with that name.'

Krystal plopped on the ground contentedly, looking up at the two men and listening to their conversation as if it was of utmost interest to her.
