There's been a change of plans, and if everything goes right I should be able to attend this week's game, just a bit late. I'm staying over my bf's house the night before the interview rather than the night after. The interview gets done around 5:30, and including dinner on the road it should take me about three and a half hours to get home, so I may be able to get online around 9:00. Maybe 8:30 if the traffic's not bad. So wish me luck on the interview, guys.

and Poof! Apoctus disapears in a cloud of smoke, possibly reforming as another player.
Been mostly fun. I might be back in the summer.

"Mostly" fun? Geeze, you're a hard sell. We're gonna miss ya. And as you may have noticed, I didn't actually make it to the game last night. The interview ran long and I didn't get home until 9:30, at which point my parents grilled me about how it went until around 10:00, and by that point I was too exhaused to do anything except check email and go to bed. However, I woke up this morning to a message on the machine from the company I interviewed with. When I called them back they offered me the job! I haven't accepted yet because I wanted to see the official job offer, which is on its way via over-night mail, but I'm fairly certain I'll take it. They want me to start a week from Monday, which may mean that next week will be my last game as well. I don't know the schedule yet or how long my commute will be (though I doubt it'll be as long as the last job), so I might be able to keep playing, but I'll almost deffinitely need to take a couple weeks off as I get settled. They're offering me temporary housing for two weeks so I can find my own place, and I doubt I'll have a computer during that time. I'll probably have internet access at work, so I should be able to check the boards during the day, but a game at night will probably be out of the question. Jeeze, I've spent the last three months looking for work, now I found some and I'm all nervous. It's not exactly what I wanted to do (tech support, rather than development), but they said there's room for movement around the company and they like to start their devlopment staff in the tech support department so we get to know the product before we start trying to improve it. Well, I'm gonna go wander around the house now being excited and nervous, so I'll see you guys later.

GAKK! My players are dropping like flies. Geez guys, if ya didn't like dungeon crawls, ya coulda said something. ;D
That's great news Merk. I'm really glad for ya.
On another note, last week proved how vitally important it is to keep you character updated and make sure that everything is correct. Turjan wound up missing a turn during the combat because I thought that his hitpoints were 24, when they really were 30. He also forgot about the extra hit points and didn't correct me. So, when we realized our mistake, it was too late to prevent Apoctus from flash frying our friendly mage. Had Turjan gotten that turn, he might have turned invisible, greased Ap to stop him from casting, even counterspelled with a dispel magic. Something anyway. Instead, he bought it in a rather painful manner.
The moral of the story is, make sure ALL the information you present in game is correct. Otherwise, you might wind up doing the funky Skywalker chicken on the wrong end of a lightning bolt.

There is a very good chance that I will miss this week's game. I'm going apartment hunting on Thursday and I might leave Wednesday night. Even if I go Thursday morning, I will probably want to get a good night's sleep. And unless something unexpected happens, next week and probably the week after I won't have access to a computer at night. Those two weeks I will probably be spending at a hotel while I start my job and look for an apartment. I may find an apartment before the end of that time, but even if I do I probably won't have internet set up for a couple of weeks anyway. So basically what I'm saying is that I won't be able to play for a little while, possibly forever if my schedule is bad, but we'll see what happens. I'll try to keep you guys updated. I'll probably have access to the internet at work, so I should be able to drop by the boards, but as to when I'll be able to play it's anybody's guess. If I find out that my schedule won't let me play I'll let you know so you can take care of Nikkia, but I expect to be back at some point. Sheesh, I wanna just fast forward three weeks to after I have an apartment and have started my new job, when everything should be settled down a bit. All this stuff I have to do and changes I'll have to make are making me anxious. I know it'll all turn out okay in the end, but that doesn't make apartment hunting any more fun. 'Scuse me, I'm gonna go take an antacid.

Found an EXCELLENT resource for SL campaigns. Really worth the read. I don't promise that everything in it will be available, since I don't actually own all the books that are listed in the document, but, if you think you're interested in something, ask about it. members.cox.net/bardharlock/rulescomp.docReally cool stuff.

As of today, pbucket is experiencing problems. Hopefully it will be sorted by gameday. Grrr. I was going to post all the nifty maps that Turjan made for you with his arcane eye, along with some notes, but that may have to wait.

This is just an update to let you guys know that I'm doing fine in my new place, but don't have an internet connection yet. I'm posting from work. It may be a few weeks before I can get online from home, but when that happens I think I should be ready to rejoin the campaign. Getting a new place is such a hassle. There are boxes all over the place and I'm still missing a few key items (like an ironing board), but everything's going great and I suspect everything will be "done" in a few weeks.

Cool beans Merk. Keep checking in. Things will likely have gone through a big change before you get back. Hints of things to come.
Heh.
Congrats on the job too. Well done you.

My appologies and condolences for missing the game tonight, foul weather and an inoportune phone call saw to that, it wasn't my design. I'd have let you known in advance if I could have but there just wasn't any way about it. Cya next time.
